Flow test, or Bore Hole Recovery testing can be an essential facet of your due diligence when purchasing a home that receives it’s water via well water. This type of testing is primarily, if not exclusively performed on drilled wells and not dug wells. This is to estimate the rate of recovery to help determine the viability and health of your household drinking water. Each provincial Dept of Health will have its own set of recommendations for suitable flow rate recovery depending on the size of your family that will be living there.
I won’t go all Geek on you and re-type the protocol on here, so instead here’s a link if you’d like to further your knowledge on the calculations and other information regarding wells from Nova Scotia.
